Description |
English: Copper alloy double looped buckle 42mm long, 30mm wide, 3mm thick, weight 8.81g. Sub-oval frames, the frame is 4mm wide and 3mm thick. The strap bar is narrowed with an acorn moulding at either end, there is iron corrosion in the centre, this is all that remains of the pin. The forward edge of edge frame is expanded with a moulded flower design in the centre.
The artefact is in a fair condition, although slightly worn, and dates to 1550-1650. |
