Description
English: Copper alloy rectangular double looped buckle, length 34mm, width 31mm, thickness 2mm, weight 6.54g. Rectangular frame 2mm thick, 4mm wide. All four corners are expanded with a trefoil moulding, expanded moulding in the centre of all the sides consisting of two knops. The strap bar is narrowed with a circular cross section, there is iron corrosion in the centre which is all that remains of the pin.

The overall condition is fair with traces of corrosion on the extremities, the artefacts appears to have a high tin content.

This buckle dates to the 17th century.
