James Henry Ebbers, from Oak Lawn, Illinois, during a Gold Star Family breakfast in the Walnut Room of Macy’s Department Store before the Chicago Memorial Day Parade here, May 28. Ebbers died during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2002. Evans joined Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, U. S. government representatives and military flag and senior officers to commemorate the day and remember service members who gave the ultimate sacrifice during their service to the United States and during America’s wars.
