English: Copper alloy trade token of William Cant of Sible Hedingham. Williamson, 1889, Trade Tokens issued in the 17th century, Elliot Stock: London, number 209. William Cant is mentioned in the 1684/5 assizes for the 9th March: "Wm. Cant of Sible Hedingham and others unknown to the number of 40, 9th June 36 Chas.II there by pretence of religious exercises, unlawfully assembled to the terror of his Majesty's subjects".
