Deutsch: Die ehemalige alte Kapelle Waldenburg bei Attendorn, die dem Bau der Biggetalsperre (1956–1965) weichen musste. Postkarte um 1960. Text: „Die im 11. Jh. errichtete Burg ist der Ursprung jeglicher Verwaltung im Kreis Olpe. Zunächst im adeligen Eigentum, gelangte sie im Dreißigjährigen Krieg an den Deutschen Orden und 1691 an die Freiherren von Fürstenberg, die die Burg und Kapelle Waldenburg bis heute besitzen. 1712 wurde eine Marienwallfahrtskapelle am Fuß der Waldenburg errichtet. Die Kapelle musste dem Talsperrenbau weichen und wurde durch einen Neubau ersetzt, der am 11. Dezember 1965 seiner Bestimmung übergeben wurde.“ |
