PACIFIC PANORAMA CSexfon, '60) M. 40" $2.00 A spectacular sca-blue self of great-size and imposing carriage. The ruffled flowers are produced on 40-inch, well branched stems. Beard is yellow topped white. HM, '61; .AM, 'fiS. Dykes Medal. '6.5. Shown on page 41. PALISADES (Plough, '64) EM. 36" $4.00 .\ new and rclati\cly luifamiliar addition to the orange ranks. Stand- ards are pink to poppy-red, blending to tangerine-orange at the edges. Falls are orange with a pink area around the tangerine beard. Early to late. HM, '66. PALOMINO (Hall, '52) EM. 36" $1.00 The falls are pale ivory with an amber-copper shoulder and thin band all the way around. Beard is like a bonfire. For size, form, substance, branching and truly marvelous color, this is indeed su- preme. HM, '52; AM, '54. PARISIAN BLUE (Schreiner, '65) ML. 40" $2.50 Bright and uniform azure blue without haft markings and of scrcnelv fashioned fonn. With petals of great width and 40-inch stems ideally branched, we think it probably the best of all the Schreiner bhics. HM, '66. Denver Dawn $3.00 'Thank you for the 'Extra' in my recent Iris order. The plants arrived in excellent condition—all healthy and great and on the date requested. It is truly wonderful to deal with Cooley's of Oregon!" £. E. Bluem, Wisconsin Brilliant Star $2.00

PICARDY (Gaulfer, '70) M. 36" $10.00 .\ smoky, light ambcr-winc self with burnt orange beard. This could also be described as a sort of "ashes of roses" color. Extra large blos- soms, the falls wide and quite horizontal, the standards ruffled and nearly closed at the top. A c;uict, subdued effect, but the beartl adds life. Parentage, Laurie x Sib. PINK CHIMES (Hall, '57) EM. 36" $1.00 This might be termed a "refined" Pink Sensation. The rich pink falls carry a smooth overlay of gold near the base of the standards. There is no veining and the beard is fiery tangerine. Prolific in growth and very free blooming. HM, '57. See page '51. PINK DIVINITY (Tarns, '67) M. 35" $4.00 A self of bright medium pink with a Hush of white down the center of the falls and around a vivid red beard. AVide llaring falls. Some- thing new in the field of pinks. HM, '68. PINK PUSSYCAT (lorrypVm%, '69) ML. 36" $12.50 This is a clear, clean lloucr of rich true pink. A sister of Ovation this is in a much lighter shade of pink but is just as true, as to color. Lo\ ely form with broad icy petals. HM, '72. PIZZAZZ (Tompkins, '69) ML. 40" $12.50 Rich medium blue—near a true blue. Wide petals and fiaiing form. Strong stalks with exceptional branching. HM, '72. PRETTY CAROL (Hamblen, '59) ML. 36" $1.50 l^o\cly rich orchid self with a lighter area in the center of the falls, highlighted by a complementary tangerine beard. The large flowers are broad and fully formed, stalks heavy and well branchctl. One of the very best. HM, '59: AM, '61. PRIMROSE PATH (Framke, '63) EL. 39" $2.00 Perfection in this cool, cream\, greenish yellow or primrose \ellow class. Large, velvety and perfect in form. A real beauty and one which, once seen, is not soon forgotten. Very long blooming season. 32
