Title
2. Post Medieval buckle
Description
English: Cast copper alloy double looped buckle from the Post Medieval period.

It is an asymetrical buckle with one rounded and one flat end. It has moulded knops at the rounded corners and the end of the strap bar. It appears the pin was iron as there is iron corrosion all over the strap bar. The flat end of the buckle has horizontal grooved lines as decoration.

This sort of buckle dates from c.1575-1700.
