Title
2006 T328: Part of a gun metal or a similar grey alloy cast object from Orton on the Hill, Leicestershire
Description
English: Treasure case 2006 T328

Fragment of Cast Object

Part of a cast object that superficially looks like a twisted Iron Age torc. The object is cast in one piece from gun metal or a similar grey alloy. It is probably a fragment of furniture handle, perhaps 100-200 years old. Consequently, in terms of age and as the object does not contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.
