2007 T250 Post Medieval Bell
Description
English: Post Medieval (16th - 17th century) silver bell, probably a hawking bell based upon size. The upper and lower hemispheres only partially survive. The bell measures 15.08mm in diameter. The bell is thin walled, at a thickness of 0.65mm. The bell is hollow and has a surviving depth of 6.17mm. The suspension loop at the apex of the bell is complete and has been attached by solder. Two sound holes are located in the upper hemisphere. The upper hemisphere is plain and undecorated. The lower hemisphere is decorated however the design is unclear. The bell weighs 1.33 grams.
