Description
English: BURNHAM HOARD 2010 T509: item A.56: Socketed sickle

Cast copper alloy socketed sickle. The socket is oval, with the blade extending at a right angle. There is a casting seam on the opposing side. The blade is curved with a rib running along its length, giving it a triangular cross section. The wings of the blade are damaged.

Length: 61.98mm. Depth at socket: 21.26mm. External diameter: 33.18mm by 29.30mm. Weight: 71.40 grams
