Description
English: A Post Medieval silver cufflink dating to the 17th century. There are two fasteners with an oval wire link connecting the two. Each fastener is hollow, convex with a flat back and a simple wire loop. There are two holes on each back and one of the fasteners is stamped with a maker's mark "GH"; the G is slightly obscured. The front surface of each fastener is decorated with an engraved pattern comprising two overlapping triangles forming a six-pointed star. In the centre is an annulet with radiating lines forming a floral or star burst motif. The fastener with the maker's mark has a dent in the front surface.
