English: A copper alloy post-medieval seal matrix dating from the 17th or 18th century AD. The seal matrix has a four sided / faceted handle with an oval suspension loop with a top knop. The octagonal face of the seal has a cross-hatched pattern. This is an impersonal, generic and mass-produced seal matrix popular during this period.
