Description
English: Buckle
Early Medieval 450-700
Length 16mm, width 19mm, height 8mm

D shaped buckle with a very thick/heavy frame (8mm high, 3.5mm thick). The cross section of the frame is semicircular, the outside edge forming the curve and the inside edge is flat. The strap bar is slightly narrowed and there is a recess for the pin (3mm high, 2mm wide).

Copper alloy, the surface is heavily corroded with bright green corrosion on the surface and brown where the surface has flaked away.
