Description
English: Cast copper alloy strap end with a nail cleaner terminal length 76mm, width 10mm, thickness 3mm, weight 5.29g. The loop is square in plane and slotted along the horizontal plane, perhaps for mounting onto a strap. The neck is oval in cross-section and is decorated with a series of recessed bands with a transverse collar at the end. This leads onto a leaf-shaped blade with rounded shoulders. The shaft is long and thin with a forked terminal.

The blade has been decorated with the crude image of a peacock, this has a rectangular body and tale, a semicircle above for the wings, the neck which is at a right angle to the body has a round head and simple triangular beak. The comb on the head is made of three radiating lines surmounted by a transverse line. The body and wing are in filled with hatched lines. all decoration is made with incised lines. The edge of the blade and shaft has linear dot border.
