Description
English: Asymmetrical double looped cast copper alloy buckle length 21mm, width 17mm, thickness 1.7mm. Central narrowed strap bar that would have held the pin, the loop on one side is trapezoid, the forward edge of which is biconcave, whilst the other loop is D-shaped, with an inward facing lip and four linear grooves on the outside edge. linear border on both outside edges. The artefact is in a fair condition with the most of the original of the mid green patina remaining, slight pitting as a result of corrosion this artefact was originally silvered. This would date to 1575-1700AD.
