Title |
6CCF97. Awl |
||
Description |
English: A flint awl made from a tertiary flake. The bulb of percussion is present on the ventral surface and there are flaking scars dorsally. The distal end is angled to produce a point on the right side of the dorsal face. The right edge of the dorsal face has been steeply retouched to enhance the point of the awl. The awl has been re-used at a later date by shallow retouching on the left dorsal edge to make an end scraper. The patina in this area is less developed (mid gloss and no whitening). Mid grey flint with a milky white, mottled patina. |
