700E54 medieval key fragment
Description
English: Medieval copper alloy key fragment, 31mm long, 16mm wide and 4mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 6.40grams. The object consists of one half of the keys loop. It has a circular section and iscurved. It has a solid triangular form at one end, which would have formed one of the corners of the loop. In its centre is a protruding collar which is oval in section and rectangular in form. The shaft of the key would emerge from this point.
