7BACC6. Post-Medieval oval double looped buckle frame
Description
English: A cast copper alloy buckle frame. An oval, double looped D-sectioned frame. The edges of the frame are bevelled and there is a slight knop on the outer edge at either end of the centre bar. The bar is narrowed and slightly off-set from the frame and has a triangular cross section. The back is flat and undecorated. The pin is missing. Similar buckles are recorded in Whitehead, R, 1996, p. 53, see No. 307.
