Description |
English: Cast copper alloy double looped buckle length 43mm, width 31mm, thickness 2mm, weight 8.68g. Sub-oval frames, the frame is 3mm wide and 2mm thick, with a semicircular cross-section. The strap bar in the centre is narrowed, at either end of the bar is a moulded oval knop. The end of both of the loops expands into an eight petaled flower. There is a recesses linear groove in the top edge of the frame that runs around its length. The is in a fair condition, although corrosion has effected this object resulting in a Greenish brown pitted surface. Date 1550-1650. |
