Title
80C720. Medieval to post medieval rectangular single loop buckle
Description
English: An incomplete copper alloy buckle frame. A single loop, rectangular frame. The aperture is oval. The bar is obscured by iron corrosion (possibly from the missing pin) but it appears to be much narrowed from the frame. There is a rectangular notch or recess in the middle of the outer edge of the frame. The front of the buckle appears silvered and is decorated with a double row of stamped rectangles around the edge. There is a recess framing the oval aperture which appears to have cast dot or rope decoration.
