Title
AWL
Description
English: Flint chert awl, sub triangular in plan and plano-convex in profile. The left and right margins have been retouched with possible use as a scraper. The distal tip has been bifacially retouched.

The flint is a coarse orange beige with pale grey inclusions and was likely derived from a beach pebble.

Bond (2005) illustrates a similar example on page 137, Fig. 5.124, No. F.28 which is dated to the Neolithic period.
