Description
English: Beer Head flint awl, triangular in plan and rod shaped in profile. On the dorsal side the left margin and upper left edge of the distal end have been retouched. The upper right end of the distal end is broken The right margin has a retouched notch mid way. The proximal end has a sharp point. On the ventral side the right margin and distal edge on the right side has been retouched. It is dark brown in colour with a lustre and a tertiary cortex.

Butler (2005) illustrates a similar example on page 113, Fig. 45, No. 8 which is dated to the Mesolithic period.
