Text Appearing After Image:
H Cbrlstmas Carol have had her ears pulled by her mistress. Inthey all came, one after another ; some shyly, some boldly, some gracefully, some awk-wardly, some pushing, some pulling ; in theyall came, anyhow and everyhow. Away theyall went, twenty couple at once, hands halfround and back again the other way ; downthe middle and up again ; round and roundin various stages of affectionate grouping ;old top couple always turning up in thewrong place ; new top couple starting offagain, as soon as they got there ; all topcouples at last, and not a bottom one to helpthem. When this result was brought about, old Fezziwig, clapping his hands to stop thedance, cried out, Well done ! and the fid-dler plunged his hot face into a pot of porter, especially provided for that purpose. Butscorning rest upon his reappearance, he in-stantly began again, though there were nodancers yet, as if the other fiddler had beencarried home, exhausted, on a shutter; andhe were a bran-new man resolved to beathim out
