A Post Medieval cast copper alloy buckle.
Description
English: A Post Medieval copper alloy double loop asymmetrical buckle. At one end the buckle has an elaborate open work frame with two pairs of rounded knops at symmetrical points on the outer edge. There is a very similar example in Whitehead, number 593. c. 1575-1700 AD. The buckle is 34.6mm long, 15.3mm wide, 2.8mm thick and weighs 3.6 grams.
