Title
A Post Medieval cast copper alloy buckle in two pieces
Description
English: A Post Medieval cast copper alloy buckle in two pieces (1500-1700). The buckle frame is the double-loop type. The shape has been distorted and the frame is broken, but is roughly sub-rectangular in plan. The buckle has a rectangular section, but has bevelled edges. On the outside edges the frame widens toward the centre. The strap bar and pin remain intact. The sheet pin is held in place on the bar in a recess defined by two protruding knops. The buckle is 37.8mm long, 24.1mm wide and 1.8mm thick.
