A Post Medieval copper alloy composite buckle.
Description
English: A Medieval cast copper alloy single loop buckle with integral forked spacer. The frame is oval in plan with a pointed lug at the end. The pin is formed of thin wire bent around the integral strap bar. The plates that would have attached to the forked spacer are missing. The buckle is 28.6mm long, 13.4mm wide, 20mm thick and weighs 2.1 grams.
