A cast copper-alloy early Bronze-Age flanged Axe
Description
English: A cast copper-alloy flanged Axe head dating from the early Bronze-Age. In plan the axe is wedge shaped with prominent flanges, some of these show some damage but they are complete. In plan the axe has a crescent shaped blade which shows evidence of wear, one of the blades tip is damaged. The flanges stand prominent from the body of the axe and curve upwards; there is no evidence of a central stop ridge. The patina is a mid green with its entire surface showing pitting from corrosion.
