Description
English: A complete, copper alloy, Post medieval, Rose farthing of Charles I, AD.1625-1649, North 1991 (page 165, type 5, Rose type 1) AD.1636-1644. The coin is badly worn with damage around the rim and in the centre, where there is a hole.

The obverse shows a double arched crown with two sceptres crossed behind it. The legend reads: CA[ROLUS D G MAG BRIT].

The reverse shows a double Tudor rose with a double arched crown surmounting it. The legend is badly worn and missing in part, however reads: FRAN ET [HIB RE]X.
