A fragment of a Post Medieval copper alloy buckle
Description
English: A fragment of a Post Medieval copper alloy buckle. It is not possible to tell from the fragment whether it is from a single or double looped buckle. The fragment is part of the loop of the buckle with out any part of the pin bar or pin. In the centre of the loop a triangular knop protrudes which is decorated with three radiating groves. This type of buck dates from 1550 to 1650. The fragment is 24.8mm long, 23.8mm wide, 2.5mm thick and weighs 2.7g.
