A fragment of a Post medieval copper alloy trapezoidal buckle.
Description
English: A fragment of a Post Medieval copper alloy double loop trapezoidal buckle c. 1620-1680 AD. The buckle appears to have had a lobed protrusion at either end of the integral strap bar. There is evidence of gilding remaining on the front of the frame. The buckle was broken by an old break. It is 20.3mm long, 19.0mm wide, 2.3mm thick and weighs 2.7 grams.
