Specimensof the very small M. moorei are exhibited from a Elia?ticfissure-deposit at Holwell, near Frome. They bear tulierclesround the edge of the crown and closely resemble the hinderteeth of Plagicmlax. A skull with multituberculate teethfrom tlic Upper Triassic Karoo Formation of South Africawas also placed here for some time. This (Fig. 81) wasdescriljed under the name of Tntijlodon longsevvs andassigned to a mammal by Owen; while a fore limb from thesame formation, named Thcriodesimis 2>hylarchus by Seeley, a 2 84 GUIDE TO THE FOSSIL MAMMALS AXD BIRDS.
