Title
A lead weight with a copper loop, possibly Medieval in date
Description
English: A lead alloy weight with iron loop weighing 45.39g. The weight is 39mm long and 6mm wide at the bottom. It is of the type used with a steelyard or other weighing apparatus, or possibly a loom. Lead alloy weights with iron loops are often dated to the medieval period, however this example may also be medieval, c. 1200-1400 AD.
