presentstwo large fluted pillars, one each side of the main entrance,supporting the pediment, and outside of these pillars fourlarge square pillars, two on each corner, in front of aturret 15 feet square, built to the roof. In each of theseturrets are doors facing each other toward the centre ofthe house, the main entrance being in a deep recess underthe pediment, and fronting the street. The trimmings ofthe pediment are of wood, and on the top of it there is builta wooden square turret with heavy mouldings, about 30feet high. The dimensions of the building are 84 feet by 62. Theinterior is finished in a plain style, having 136 pews on thelower floor. It was first opened for worship May 27, 1832.Rev. Mr. Plolt is the present minister. ST. THOMAS CHURCH—(Episcopal,) CORNER BROADWAY AND HOUSTON-STREET, Erected in 1826.This is a stately edifice, measuring 113 feet by 62,standing on the corner of Houston-street, fronting onj Broadway.
