Title
A post Medieval cast copper alloy double loop trapezoidal buckle
Description
English: An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy double-looped trapezoidal buckle (c.1570-c.1700).

The frame is flat on both faces and the edges are bevelled externally on the upper face. It would have been symmetrical with each loop trapezoidal in plan. At the centre of the outside edge there is a flat pointed swelling forming a triangle. There are lobed protrusions at the ends of the bar which is sub-rectangular in cross-section. Both faces appear to be undecorated. The pin and most of one loop are missing, the breaks are old.

Length: 39.04mm; width: 26.20mm; thickness: 2.59mm. Weight: 6.61g.

Class: Double-looped trapezoidal
