Title
A probable cast copper Roman key
Description
English: An incomplete cast copper alloy object, probably a Post Medieval spur terminal . The back is flat and undecorated. The front has three lobes, trilobate, each containing a large hole; the central lobe has the smallest hole. The central and left side lobes are equal in height and sit above the right lobe. Each lobe is divided by a line that runs towards the centre of the object. There is a single knop at the top of the line on the left side. The right lobe sits on top of a rectangular shaft; these are separated by a small, narrow collar. The shaft terminates in an old break. The lobes do not meet at their terminals, indicating that there was another lobe or hole, which is now missing. The object has both a dark green patina and a red patina. It measures 26.41 mm L x 23.91 mm W x 3.68 mm TH and weighs 5.35 g.
