English: A soldier from Foxtrot Company, 1st Caribbean Battalion, which is made up of military and police units from Belize, Dominican Republic, St. Vincent and The Grenadines, Guyana, Jamaica and St. Kitts, handcuffs a drug dealer during a mock raid in Parham, Antigua, during the modular training for Tradewinds 2002. Tradewinds 02, held in Antigua-Barbuda on 6-26 April 2002, is a multi-phased, joint field training exercise that provides participating nations an opportunity to assemble a multinational force topromote interoperability, improve collective readiness, enhance regional engagement, and foster professional relationships on a regional basis. The exercise focuses on maritime and ground operations and includes participants from 13 nations, including Antigua-Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominican Republic, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and The Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago. US Coast Guard Commander Atlantic Area (USCGCOMLANTAREA) is the executive agent for the Maritime Phase, and US Army South (USARSO) is the executive agent for the Ground Phase.(U.S. Army photo by Mr. Joseph Bonet) (Released) |
