1894 DRAWINGS—FOUR TEARS OLD A, engine from copy, February 25, 1894 —as Harolds interest increased in engines his fatherwould draw one for him, as above, probably once a fortnight—Harold alwavs made additions to hisown copy ; B and D. early pen efforts ; E and C, first attempts at a round front for engines—heseemed never to have observed this feature before. RECORD CONTINUED heard him say, What? What did you say? meaningthat he did not understand—not that he did not hear;but until I would explain to others they would frequent-ly answer in the same words, over and over again, toevery what he gave. He did not know how else toask, and because I always understood what he meantby what, he thought others did. I did not explain to him at this time about fore-feetmeaning front feet, for he had enough to consider withhis two and two make four.
