Deutsch: Aachener Dom, Karlsschrein, nach 1182–1215. Vergoldetes Silber über einem Eichenholzkern, Dachreliefs aus vergoldetem Kupfer. Aachener Werkstatt. Die Langseiten des hausförmigen Schreines zeigen unter Arkarden vollplastische Figuren von insgesamt 16 deutschen Königen und Kaisern von Ludwig d. Fr. bis Friedrich II. Auf der vorderen Stirnseite (Foto) thront Karl d. Gr. mit dem Münstermodell. Neben ihm Papst Leo III. und Erzbischof Turpin.
