Includ-ing the duplication of batteries which foughtat several positions, there will be over fourhundred guns thus mounted on the Chicka-mauga field alone. Siege-pieces will be put upon Lookout Mountain anil at several pointsabout Chattanooga. Imposing markers of large shells are erectedon the spots where those exercising the com-mand of a general officer were killed. Theseare eight in number, four for Lnion and fourfor Confeilerate ofiicers. Three lofty steel ob-servation towers rise above the forests on theChickamauga field at its most prominent ele-vations. These are in sight of one another andof Lookout Mountain, and of two similar tow-ers on Missionary Kidge. Thus the relativepositions of all points of the great field areseen at a glance, as well as the mountain-ranges and the rivers which reveal the outlinesof the grand strategy of each army. From these
