English: Adorno for an incense burner or theatre-type censer. Mould made. Open cotton bud or "trefoil" variant. Complete. At one end (top.) the cotton in spiral form has a lobe curving inward in a clockwise direction. A crescent shaped lobe across the middle has curved inner grooves and down-pointing ends at each side and a disc or button placed on top at the centre. The surfaces of these features are textured with indented dots. The lower end is rounded triangular with inner grooves, representing the stem. The back is flat with a cementing substance or flattened clay pellet attached. Traces of white undercoat pigment cover the front and back, red pigment survives in the recesses on the front.
