English: Maj. Gen. John R. O’Connor, commanding general of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command, U.S. Army Europe, meets with Capt. Robert Yauger, commander of the 624th Movement Control Team, 16th Sustainment Brigade, 21st TSC, as port officials, stevedores, leaders and Soldiers download cargo from the transportation vessel “Liberty Promise” March 9 at the Riga Universal Terminal docks in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve. The ongoing mission exemplifies U.S. and NATO commitment to the region, builds allied capability and interoperability, and bolsters regional security and stability. Soldiers of the 1st Armor Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, will employ the tanks and M2A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicles unloaded the same day during a training rotation in eastern and central Europe. The delivery marks the first time American forces have shipped main battle tanks directly from the U.S. to the Riga terminal. (Photo by 1st Lt.
