When I first saw the remains of Two Guns, AZ along Int. 40 in AZ, we were able to drive right up to it on a remaining portion of Old Rt. 66. I thought I had discoverd a ghost town, but I was wrong. This was very popular tourist attraction in its day where families could get a glimpse of the Old West and kids could see wild animals. Canyon Diablo, a real old-west town, existed some miles to the north, a place with a bloody past.
The bridge shown in front of this collapsed store was where travelers on Old Rt. 66 crossed the infamous Canyon Diablo, site of an Indian massacre. Some say the site is cursed because of this, by the dreaded Chindiis, and that is why no one has ever been able to keep the place going.

This portion of the Mother Road is just a few feet south of Int. 40, but today it is closed to the public.
