These cuts show the rooms in which the Roentgen Society of the United States met infirst annual meeting. Grand Central Palace, New York City, December 13 and 14, 1900.One room was well filled with exhibits and the other seated for 230 members andspectators. THE AMERICAN X-RAY JOURNAL. 967 are already proud of our achievements,of its revolutionizing influences, of theconquering x-rays. Conscious, how-ever, of this reward, we behold a newvista and turn from the proud sense ofvictories won to the labors that awaitus. Like receding from the small endof the funnel, the working plane ex-pands. We take up the taper of accu-mulated past and with the searchingli°ht seek untrodden paths.
