The patient lies with thehead on a platform of hard fiber, with a pillow beneath theshoulders and a small sand-bag under the head and neck. Theupright supports for holding the head are now adjusted by American Quarterly of Roentgenology J 5 means of the wheel 1, and the jointed part of the apparatus. J,containing the indicator is brought down in position. The in-dicating ball, G, is now roughly adjusted until it is opposite thecenter of the cornea and about 12 or 15 mm. distant. Thepatient looks with the uninjured eye into the mirror, M, andfixes upon the iris or cornea of the injured eye, or, better, uponthe indicating ball in the center of the celluloid disc. The indi-cating ball is now carefully adjusted directly over the cornealcenter by means of the wheels 2 and 3, and the correctness ofthe posit
