The tube is lo-cated at a distance of twenty-two inches so that the normalcentral ray will pass through the middle of a line drawn fromthe external auditory meatus and directed perpendicularly towardthe plate. When stereoscopic plates are made this same centralposition should be found, and then the tube should be movedone and one-fourth inch anteriorly or posteriorly from this cen-tral point.
