An incomplete Post Medieval cast copper alloy double-loop oval buckle
Description
English: An incomplete Post Medieval cast copper alloy double-loop oval buckle, 1550-1650 AD. One loop of the symmetrical double-looped buckle is missing. The remaining oval profile loop has a wide outer edge projecting into a central point and has a bi-lobed interior space. The strap bar is narrowed and has slight lobed knots at the upper and lower edges. The pin consists of sheet wrapped around the strap bar; the point of the pin has been lost. The buckle has a light green patina. It measures 29.9mm long, 27.6mm wide, 2.8mm thick and weighs 4.81 grams.
