Description |
English: An incomplete Post Medieval cast copper alloy double-loop oval buckle, 1550-1650 AD. The artefact comprises of one loop from a double-looped buckle, the pin, strap bar and second loop are missing. The loop is bi-lobed, with a central pointed protrusion with an incised pin-rest. It has a sub-rectangular section. The buckle has floral decoration and the surface shows evidence of tinning. It has a worn surface with a dark green patina. The loop weighs 4.11 grams. |
