Description
English: An incomplete Post Medieval cast copper alloy double loop trapezoidal buckle frame, 1620-1680 AD. The artefact consists of one loop and the strap bar of a double-looped buckle. The loop is trapezoidal with a protruding knop on the corner of the upper and lower edge and a central projecting point with an incised pin-rest. The strap bar is narrowed and has slight lobed knops at either end. The buckle has a dark olive-green patina. It is 23.8mm long, 18.8mm wide and 1.7mm thick. It weighs 2.37 grams.
