Title
An incomplete penny of Richard II minted at York
Description
English: An incomplete long cross penny of Richard II dating 1377-1399, minted at York.

The obverse depicts a forward facing bust with a bifoliate crown. There is substantial wear across the face of the bust and much of the inscription has also worn away although it is possible to discern RIC... in the legend.

The reverse is of the long cross type with three pellets in each quarter. There is a voided quatrefoil in the centre of the long cross with pellet in the centre. The legend reads ...TAS/EBOR/A.. as the rest of it has been worn away.

The North number is 1329 although further identification is not possible due to wear.
