Anglo-Saxon buckle
Description
English: A copper-alloy violin-shaped buckle pin dating to the Anglo-Saxon period. The pin is violin-shaped in plan and D-shaped in cross-section. The terminal of the pin curves downwards. The surface of the pin is worn and apparently undecorated. There is a circular sectioned shank extending on the reverse of the violin-shaped body.
